Sunrise Service in Kchag

It has always been a wonderful tradition for believers of the Armenian Evangelical Churches to come together in worship early morning, before dawn, at Kchag, Lebanon. This is done in remembrance of Christ's great triumph over death, His resurrection after 3 days of his crucifixion.

Members of Christ's body headed to Kchag at 6:30 AM to have a time of worship and sing praises to Almighty God. Worship was lead by Mr. John Sagherian and excerpts from Scripture was read by 3 believers. The sermon was given by Dr. Paul Haidostian speaking about the powerful event 2000 years ago. The worship time was enclosed with a prayer by the President of UAECNE, the Rev. Megerdich Karaguezian.

Chanitz Blog Is TWO YEAR OLD!

It was a surprise to many, when after the worship session, we turned out the lights and we turned on the Congratulations song, and that's when Hagop suddenly entered with the cake with 2 candles on, symbolizing the two years that the blog and the team has been through.

"I never imagined that we would reach this far. Many obstacles stood in front of us, no matter how hard we prayed. We had nothing to rely on, but we kept our hope.
We started using a small system and the system grew out to exceed its initial purpose, reaching out to many."
"The road was hard and it is not easy, it's a very tough process, where sacrifice, commitment and perseverance are realized and practiced daily."

Church, youth and our blog

The youth can be very much involved in their individual churches and do a difference in their community. However, they need guidance and mentors, who can bring these youth together, who are full of energy and creative minds, and help them use their talents and practical faith inside and outside their church boundaries.

For this reason and more, we have already started making use of the latest technologies that the world of Web provides us. The website/blog of the Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church Youth was born and it has helped us in building bridges with many different churches in Lebanon and outside Lebanon. I remember Mike from USA who contacted us, Pastor Sevag and Pastor Datev from Syria, Searan Salibian from USA, and many others from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Iraq, Iran, Canada, France, Sweden, Armenia, Brazil, Australia and people from outisde the Armenian Evangelical circles, whom we guided to our union (UAECNE), whenever they asked about matters that were outside our sphere of knowledge.

"When the press was found, the church was one of the first users and supporters. Today, there's another kind of press, which is the web. Is the Church today an advocate of the web?"

Only recently are we seeing individuals from churches who are picking up and using the tools found on the web, like YouTube and blogging tools to share about their church with the rest of the world outside.

Raffi
